Acerca de Jacob
Hey! I'm Jacob, a 22-year-old student from Warsaw, living in Valencia. I study Psychology and IT (with specialization in UX/UI Research and Design). First of all, I'm a student too, so don't worry about the atmosphere at our lessons! I think it's crucial to be comfortable when learning something new, so that will always be our priority. Depending on your needs, we will use different learning methods. The most important for me is to make you feel better speaking and understanding English. My favorite teaching method is conversations, where we basically talk about chosen topics, extending your vocabulary and speaking fluency. We can also read, write, listen, or go through grammar exercises together. And I can for sure help you get better at school, or day-to-day English conversations, and understanding. I'm very flexible, and our lessons can differ from one to another, depending on your needs, and the progress. I have studied English for many years now, my English level is C1.2. I try to travel whenever I have a few free days, and being far from home kind of forces you to speak the language. And, apart from that, at a very young age I started reading books and watching films in English, which helps a lot with vocabulary.

I have been working with kids, teenagers and adults, so I can use different methodologies. With kids and teens, I usually focus on school homework, that means working on: grammar, speaking, writing, listening and reading. I try to work on all of that during one class. For example, I start the class talking about what they did during the week, with details, so they work on oral expression and the student is able to connect concepts; later we can do the school/highschool/mine grammar exercises; besides, to work on oral comprehension and pronunciation I usually use songs and films. For adults, the way I work depends on the needs of the person. In general, I've had students that wanted to improve their level of English in all aspects; or students that just wanted conversation; students that wanted to improve English for their work, etc. Therefore, when using a methodology, it depends on many things.

Me ha dado varias clases de conversación de inglés online este verano. Hemos preparado los orales de la EOI y la verdad es que me ha ido genial. He mejorado mucho la fluidez y la pronunciación y me he sentido mucho más segura que en junio el día del examen. Espero que sigamos con las clases.
