Being an IB student is challenging and trying to learn a new language along the way is more challenging. However, with Jahanvi ma’am everything seemed so smooth and easy. Initially, we set our goal on the bare minimum grade we wanted to achieve and started working towards it. After a 8am -3pm school day, I used to be exhausted but she made it so much fun that I always looked forward for her classes. She used to make sure that all our classes are engaging by making flash cards, or planning French games, making Infographics for me and getting various worksheets. She is patient and helped me improve my confidence in speaking and writing. Apart from being an amazing teacher, she is a beautiful person who I can call a friend. You would be lucky to have a teacher like her.

I was very lucky to have learnt French from her. Today I have a Master’s degree in French literature and I’m very happy to admit that Jahnavi has been instrumental in sparking my interest in the French language and culture!

Jahnavi is one of the most friendly and amiable teachers that I've ever studied with. She has a terrific grasp on the language and because she has learned French as a foreign language herself, she is able to really understand the challenges. In fact, there were so many instances where I did not have to really explain what I was struggling with, she was able to predict and had already prepared a special exercise for it.

What I really liked about janhvi was her passion to help me learn the language. There were times where I felt demotivated and she was able to re-motivate me and her energy is very infectious.

Growing with the times, it was helpful for me that she used a varied palette of teaching tools. So it wasn't just a typical structured language class, which it was in every aspect of the way the class was designed, but the tools that she used were actually very friendly. For example, for listening I was given exercises to listen to popular songs, and decode the meaning. Even certain podcasts and children's stories. This made it very exciting for me, getting more involved in the cultural aspect of the language, and made it feel less like a chore and more fun!

She also focuses a lot on the listening aspect of the language which for me as I was trying to learn the language holistically was very helpful. After reaching a certain stage with reading and vocabulary, she made me realize that it's a whole different world to actually listen to native speakers and to be able to understand the pronunciations, colloquialisms and pace. All of these things, when I first introduced myself to listening were very difficult to follow and the effort that she put into the listening part of the exercise really helped me progress with my conversational development.

All in all, I enjoyed my learning time with Jahnavi I’d like to say to anyone reading this review that she goes above and beyond to help her students. To anyone considering learning French from her, I give my highest recommendation.

Jahnavi is a fantastic teacher. She is empathetic and understands your abilities individually, while holding you accountable. The best thing about her is that you are guaranteed to pick up the language after working with her, which is the outcome you want.
