Acerca de Danielle
I’m a UK-qualified teacher with a B.Ed (Hons) in Education and Qualified Teacher Status, and I have over 14 years of teaching experience in the UK and international schools around the world.
I’ve spent much of my teaching career in international, multilingual environments, so I have lots of experience supporting people who are learning and communicating in English as an additional language.
I understand that knowing English on paper and feeling confident actually speaking it can be very different things! I particularly enjoy helping learners build their confidence, vocabulary and fluency so that they can use English more naturally in everyday life.
I hold a 120-hour TEFL qualification to complement my existing teaching qualifications and experience.
I’m originally from the UK and am now based in Gran Canaria. As someone who is learning Spanish myself, I also know what it feels like to search for words, make mistakes and sometimes lose confidence when speaking another language!
I’m a warm, patient and encouraging teacher, and building confidence is just as important to me as developing language skills. Whether I’m working with a child or an adult, I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, having a go and enjoying the process of learning English.
Please note: Lessons are taught in English. I am currently learning Spanish myself (A1/A2), so I understand first-hand the challenges — and occasional frustrations! — of learning another language. My lessons are particularly suited to learners who want to build confidence speaking and communicating in English.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs, interests and goals. I believe people learn best when they feel comfortable, confident and able to make mistakes without worrying about getting everything right.
For children, I offer engaging English lessons that can support speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. I can also provide support with schoolwork and the British Primary Curriculum. With over 14 years of experience teaching children from multilingual backgrounds, I am used to adapting lessons for different ages, abilities and learning styles.
For teenagers and adults, I offer relaxed and practical English lessons focused on your personal goals. This might include conversation practice, improving fluency and pronunciation, building vocabulary, grammar support, or simply becoming more confident using English in everyday situations.
Lessons are personalised rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme. I will get to know what you want to achieve and plan our sessions around you. I use conversation, games, visuals, texts and practical activities to keep lessons engaging and meaningful.
Most importantly, my classroom is a no-judgement space. Mistakes are an important and valuable part of learning, and I want my students to leave lessons feeling more confident about using English than when they arrived.
